This stunning white Salmon leather is first veg tanned, then a metallic gold hot foiling process takes place in order to outline where the natural scales fall. The leather is finished off nicely with a translucent finish to seal in the gold and protect the integrity of the white leather.

“Vidvid” is a family-made word I learned as a young child. My definition is anything with a “V” pattern or indentation. I thought it was a real word until I used it in front of a group of kids in high school and quickly learned that it was unknown to the world. My sisters informed me that my Dad made the word up. I still catch myself saying “vidvid” when trying to describe patterns.

Bracelet Repair for Sami Cuff Bracelet.
Button Side: removed the old loop(internally as well), reconstructed, bonded and sewed the end leather back together to eliminate the hole left by the loop and secured the edging back onto the felt. Reattached the original button using heavy duty thread. bonded the back stitching & knots to the leather with an adhesive to smooth.
Loop Side: removed the old loop(internally as well), matched the leather with a new strip of hand-dyed brown reindeer leather, braided the new loop and bonded overnight. Stitched in the new loop internally, bonded everything internally, then closed up the hole with adhesive and stitching. I added a few reinforcing stitches in black thread through the felt, leather, and internal ends of the new loop. any external knots on the back were finished with bonding to the leather. You may notice a small amount of extra adhesive peel off. This is natural and okay for the excess to buff off with wear.
Everything is strong and was tested with a moderate strength pull. It should be secure for many years to come. If you have any further issues, please let me know. Thanks!
